The MLB Season passes quarter mark

The MLB Season has been great so far, with all kinds of twists and turns making this a memorable season already. The big surprises are the Milwaukee Brewers, who have turned a lot of heads as the team has been very good, even after loosing CC Sabathia and Ben Sheets. The Brew Crew has been very good so far, and with Zack Greinke on the mound they will be good each time he pitches. Fans who have MLB tickets are in great shape for some baseball action. The Toronto Blue Jays and the Florida Marlins also got off to fantastic starts before coming down to earth. Baseball fans and anyone with an MLB ticket is going to be keeping an eye on them. These guys don’t care that they aren’t supposed to compete, and will definitely be a challenge for any teams that see them.

Speaking of the Blue Jays, the AL East is now taking shape the way many expected, with the notable struggles of the Tampa Bay Rays being the big surprise. The team that made it to the World Series was expected to be leading the way are having a bit of a hard time keeping up with the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. In fact, many are expecting that it will be the Yankees vs Red Sox in the MLB postseason once again. But the Rays have some very good players that will definitely give Joe Maddon plenty of tools to fight on.

The AL West looks like it will be the most competitive of all divisions, as all five teams look capable of coming out on top. The Tigers lead the way, but not by much. The Twins and Royals are right behind them, and nobody is sleeping on the Chicago White Sox and Ozzie Guillen. And Cleveland has struggled out of the gates, but they have tons of talent and some very good pitchers in Cliff Lee and Fausto Carmona that could help turn the team around.

In the AL West, the Angels aren’t going to lead wire to wire, as the Texas Rangers are looking much better than many anticipated. They have the hitters to hang with anyone, so if a pitching staff led by Kevin Millwood can keep up with the rest of the league, they could very well be bad news for the Angels. Make sure you get your MLB ticket to see what is going on with them.

In the NL East, the Mets and Phillies are once again competing for the top stop. The Amazin’ Mets have been able to deal with injury after injury and are still in great shape. Their bullpen has been very good so far, and if the starting rotation can keep it up they should be able to hang tough until they get the rest of the team back. Beltran, Reyes, Delgado etc will go along way to help this team get to the playoffs for the first time in years, so keep an eye on them and buy and MLB ticket to see whats new at the Big Apple.

All in all the 2009 MLB season is off to a fantastic start, and look for that to continue all year. Don’t forget to get to as many baseball games as you can and get your MLB ticket asap.
